Northport provides operating advice and assistance to businesses and other organizations on administrative management issues, such as financial planning and budgeting, equity and asset management, records management, office planning, strategic and organizational planning, site selection, new business startup, and business process improvement.
Northport principals have advanced degrees in business administration; public policy, planning and management; and strategic studies and past experience in senior positions with the Executive Office of the President, Office of Management and Budget, the Committee on the Budget, U.S. House of Representatives, the Department of the Army and the Department of Defense.
Northport Affiliates, LLC provides general management consultants that provide a full range of administrative; human resource; marketing; process, physical distribution, and logistics; and other management consulting services to clients.
Northport executives have provided US contracted logistics support in Afghanistan. As an active member of the Joint planning cell a Northport executive performed analysis, planning, and execution of logistical support for the inflow of thirty thousand US forces into Afghanistan at the US Forces-Afghanistan headquarters. Kept Logistical Civilian Augmentation Program (LOGCAP) informed of customer concerns, and informed senior military leaders about LOGCAP logistics capabilities, planning factors, and timelines. Participated in international forums and meetings with Afghan ministers on intergovernmental issues related to contracting. Initiated strategic planning efforts and Lean Six Sigma analysis to streamline LOGCAP responsiveness to customers. Spearheaded the implementation of pertinent Army problem analysis procedures in LOGCAP and the Defense Contract Management Agency’s business process improvement effort. Briefed the Deputy Commanding General, Third Army, US Army Central Command on a near weekly basis on the status of LOGCAP support, emerging problems (and solutions), and the impact of LOGCAP operations on readiness, mission, and goals.
